Set of standard size simple wooden Shogi tiles half with red and half with black traditional Japanese markings; traditional standard size `greaseproof` paper board, 28.5x23.5cm, in a sturdy plastic storage box, 9x9x4.5cm. Genuine Japanese product.

This set of Shogi Koma are made of wood and use traditional Japanese markings. Half in red and half in black, although a colour difference between the opposing sides is not fundamental to the game as in the case of Western Chess.

These markings, known as karagana, are those found in the normal 'how to play' books.
